Meet The New Altitude Interns!

Fresh faces, big personalities, and a whole lot of community spirit.

If you’ve stopped by the front desk lately, you may have noticed some new smiles greeting you. We’re excited to officially introduce our interns, a group of talented, vibrant students who are here to learn, grow, and help keep New Altitude running smoothly.

These internships come through our partnership with the UCCS Office of Inclusive Services, which creates opportunities for students with disabilities to participate fully in college life while building valuable workplace skills. By welcoming interns into our space, we’re not only strengthening our community but also living out our mission to combine business with social impact.

Now, let’s meet the team!

Ryan & Josh

Many of you already know Ryan, he’s been part of New Altitude for nearly three years and continues to bring consistency, warmth, and humor to our space. He’s supported by his job coach, Josh, and together they’ll keep being a reliable presence at the office.

Isaiah & Melanie

Isaiah brings incredible energy as a cheerleader for his college sports teams, and he’s always ready to talk about pizza, cheese, pepperoni, or sausage, please! He’s a huge fan of SpongeBob, Drake & Josh, and iCarly, and his upbeat personality makes everyone feel welcome.

Isaiah is mentored by Melanie, whose kindness and creativity shine through in everything she does. A vegan foodie, Melanie loves The Burrowing Owl, sushi, and vanilla-and-chocolate cake. When she’s not watching Law and Order or Inside Out 2, you can probably find her on the pickleball court.

Caden & Melanie

Caden is a sophomore at UCCS and a talented visual arts major who creates beautiful artwork that reflects his creativity and perspective. Originally from Denver, he grew up surrounded by family and now brings his artistic eye to New Altitude.

Outside of class and the studio, Caden loves salmon, the color blue, and listening to music, especially country, pop, 80s hits, and Elvis Presley. His mix of creativity and classic taste makes him a fun addition to the team, and we can’t wait for you to get to know him better.

Evie & Evan

Evie is a singer in an a cappella group and lights up every room with her voice and her positivity. She loves strawberries, pizza (cheese or meat lovers), the color violet, and the summer season. She has a brother named Henry, and her parents live in Louisville, Colorado.

Evie is mentored by Evan, who loves all things Star Wars. His favorite food is pizza (but definitely no pineapple), his favorite color is hot pink, and his favorite season is fall. Evan has three siblings, Will, Wyatt (his twin), and Gabby, and he brings both fun energy and support to the internship team.

Ellis & Evan

Ellis is the newest face on our intern team, and she already brings so much warmth and personality to New Altitude. She has two dogs, a boxer named Floyd and a Jack Russell named Lesser, and she recently added a horse to the family! With a love for animals and a goal of becoming a veterinarian, Ellis is passionate about caring for others, both two- and four-legged.

We’re excited to have Ellis with us and can’t wait for you to get to know her better. Be sure to stop by the front desk and say hello, she’s always happy to chat and share a smile.
